So I called in a Tacobell delivery run from friends so I didn't starve. Then I called the people I was supposed to meet at 5:30 in Atlanta- not going to make that! So I kept waiting thinking maybe another hour. At this point I had pulled out the umbrella trying not I get a sunburn, read half of my not so interesting book, and chatted with the nice people around me. After 3 1/2 hours, I knew I couldn't give up at that point- so SIX hours later...
And I made it to the party a fashionable four hours late!

Were you standing the whole time? Nice job snagging a ticket!
wow! how exciting. now i have a reason to watch convention coverage.
Who would've guessed! 6 hours of people lines! That should be interesting and exciting to attend--are you taking a poster?
love, momsie
Oh wow! That's cool. How did you get the ticket? Did you have to apply in a lottery or just wait in line for 6 hours?
I was able to leave the line a couple of times for a shade break - everyone was pretty nice about holding spots. Other than that though, yes I was there for six hours. Beforehand, I signed up online then got a phone call later to see if I had my own transportation and accommodations. Then I got an email saying where to pick up the tickets. They were still first come first serve even if you got the email though so that's why there was such a long line.
Super neat!
