Peek inside
For a quick update on the usual – this is my fridge…
guess what I’ll be eating this week! The sale at the grocery store was $1.99. So I stocked up. Plus another $5.00 off when you bought ten, plus a coupon for $1.50. So the math says – less than $1.00 a meal!
But the fridge is pretty empty and I feel like cooking something good. Anyone have some easy and healthy recipes?
Taking ideas! Now I am off to a Twilight release party. I hope I can fake it enough that the guests don’t kick me out for being an imposter. I never read the book or saw the movie – and not really interested. Hopefully the food will be good!

Now, that is a really bare fridge! But at least your meals are nice and lean and easy clean-up!
We are having tuna steaks tomorrow and maybe swiss chard (from the garden) and ... potatoes? Not sure yet.
Should be better than tonight's ikea meatballs, which really aren't that bad either!
Dad is trying to take those meals for 3 of 5 lunches at work. Tonight we had scrambled eggs on hot dog buns and dad added mustardrelish--sort of like egg salad. An idea!
He suggested tuna gravy or chili on the buns as alternate menus, but the cook wasn't excited about those ideas. (Can you tell we are out of bread? We do have pretzels.)
love, momsie
um, that is a lot of lean cuisine. :)
In case it helps ...
We have a menu every week and shop on the weekend. This week is:
S - breakfast burritos (mushroom, scrambled eggs, hot sauce)
M - fried rice - with egg, mushroom, frozen veggis
T - Tofu Korma with tomatos
W - spinach-walnut-blue cheese noodle
T - panini (on the George Foreman) with roasted brocliflower
i always like cheese quesadillas for quick and easy - and versatile, if you add fresh veggies (baby spinach/mushrooms) or black beans or chicken (pre-cooked strips?).
